     O2 is pan-European telecommunications company with operations in the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

O2 provide integrated mobile, fixed and broadband services in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Together, we’re Telefónica Europe, but customers know us as O2.

Telefónica Europe also owns 50% of the Tesco Mobile joint venture business in the UK and Ireland, as well as, the Tchibo Mobilfunk joint venture in Germany. In addition, the group includes the Isle of Man fixed/mobile operator, Manx Telecom.

O2 has 49.2 million mobile, fixed and broadband customers across Europe and 29,000 employees across the Group.Telefónica Europe, part of Telefónica S.A. is headquartered in Slough, UK. Telefónica Europe announces its results, across its territories, with Telefónica's quarterly reporting cycle. We reported revenues for the period ended 31 December 2009 of over €13.533 billion.

Telefónica Europe plc continues to go from strength to strength, outperforming our competitors by investing in customer experience, as a means to drive sustainable growth, and emerge from the current recession, fitter and stronger than before.

O2 recorded impressive results for the full year in spite of extremely difficult economic conditions and a highly competitive market. We saw positive progress in our key markets where, again, we outperformed our competitors - delivering accelerated growth and increased profitability. More customers are now coming to O2 for products like mobile broadband, fixed line telephony and broadband, as well as new services such as O2 Money in the UK. We are delighted to have just been ranked as the best large company to work for in Germany, the second-best employer in Ireland and in the top 25 places to work in the UK.

As we look forward to 2010, we plan to continue to outgrow the market. There are three clear trends driving our success. The age of the mobile internet has now truly arrived and our position as the home of the smartphone has put us at the head of the pack. In the UK, our churn level is at a record low, with more customers staying with us longer than any operator in UK history. At the same time, the transformation of our German business has driven clear market outperformance and the company now has real momentum. Overall, we have seen stronger revenue growth over the past two quarters, as a result of both our increasing customer share and improving ARPU trends due to the accelerating take up of mobile data.

By continuing to build on the O2 brand, the company aims to become the communications provider of choice through a commitment to offering high quality products and services, as well as, leading customer retention and loyalty programmes. O2 UK History

O2 is a leading provider of mobile and broadband services to consumers and businesses in the UK. The company is the leader in non-voice services, including text, media messaging, games, music and video, as well as data connections via GPRS, HSDPA, 3G and WLAN.

O2 UK is part of the Telefónica O2 Europe group which comprises integrated fixed/mobile businesses in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia - all of which use 'O2' as their consumer brand. In addition, O2 has established the Tesco Mobile joint venture business in the UK and Ireland, as well as, the Tchibo Mobilfunk joint venture in Germany. O2 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telefónica S.A.

As at December 2007, we had more than 40 million fixed and mobile customers across Europe and 29,000 employees across the Group. O2 UK has 18.4 million customers.

O2 was formed in 2001, following the demerger from British Telecom of its former mobile business, BT Wireless.
